Monty writes first messages

Write the first message they answer.

Paste what they wrote on X and what you offer. Monty writes three openers, each from a different angle, that start a conversation instead of a pitch.

Your openers

Three drafts appear here: a question about their situation, a small useful offer, and a reaction to what they said. Edit any of them before you send.

Monty

Monty does this for every good follower, every morning.

He reads your new X followers, tells you who could hire you and why, and has three openers ready for each of them. You choose, and you send.

How to use it

  1. Paste something they actually wrote. Their bio works; a recent post about a problem they have works better. The message can only be as specific as what you give it.
  2. Add your offer in one line, so the openers point somewhere useful. Leave it empty if you just want to start talking.
  3. Pick the angle that fits the person, change a few words so it sounds like you, and send it yourself.

Why these openers work

Most first messages fail before they’re read. On X, a message from someone the person doesn’t follow usually lands in their message requests, where it sits next to spam. What gets opened there is short, clearly written for one person, and easy to answer.

So every opener follows the same few rules: start from one true, specific detail about them; ask at most one easy question; no pitch, no link and no flattery in the first message. The goal is a reply, not a sale. The sale comes later, in a conversation they chose to have.

If the same message could go to 500 people, it will be treated like it went to 500 people.

It also helps to be a familiar name first. A couple of genuine replies under someone’s posts before you message them makes a first DM feel like the next step, not a cold knock. Monty’s crew member Sofie does that part in the app.

Questions

Does the generator send the message for me?

No. It writes three drafts; you pick one, make it yours and send it yourself on X. Monty never sends, likes or follows anything, here or in the app.

What should I paste?

Their X bio, a recent post, or both. The more specific the text, the more specific the message: a post about a problem they have beats a bio that only lists job titles.

Why three different angles?

People answer for different reasons. A question about their situation suits someone who likes to talk shop, a small useful offer suits someone busy, and a reaction to what they said suits someone with strong opinions. Pick the one that fits the person.

How long should a first DM on X be?

Short enough to read in a few seconds: one or two sentences, usually under 280 characters. The only job of the first message is to get a reply. Your pitch can wait until they’ve answered.

Is it really free?

Yes, up to ten openers an hour, with no account. If you want this for every promising follower, every morning, that’s what Monty does.
