The founder who needs a new site already follows you.
Every morning Monty reads your new X followers, spots the founders who are launching, raising or rebranding, and writes a first message in your voice. No pitching strangers. You decide who to talk to, and you send it yourself.

Great work doesn’t fill a calendar on its own.
The work is good. Finding the next client is the hard part, and it’s never been louder out there.
Referrals carry the business until they suddenly don’t. In one survey of 208 web designers, 91% got work through word of mouth, and two in three named getting clients as their biggest obstacle (Web Designer Academy, 2025).
Marketplaces and job posts line you up next to hundreds of other replies, judged on price. One designer told Creative Boom that “looking for a designer” posts now pull thousands of replies (Creative Boom, 2025).
You’d rather design than pitch. Most DMs you get yourself are spam, so writing to a stranger feels like joining the pile.
Hundreds of people follow you. Somewhere in there is a founder two weeks from launch with a template website. You’d never know.
Monty reads every follower
The reason, not just a score.
Every lead comes with who they are and why now, in plain words, with where it came from. Strong leads get a closer look by themselves: their website, pinned post and recent posts.
- Scores from 0 to 100, best first
- Launches, raises and design hires go to the top
- Every reason says where it came from, so you can check it
Monty writes the first message
A first message you’d be proud to send.
Written from something they actually posted, in your voice. Make it shorter, warmer, bolder or more curious in one click, change any word, then send it yourself from X.
- No templates, no “love your content”
- Monty never sends anything
- It learns from every message you edit
The moments a founder needs a designer.
Monty reads each new follower’s bio, pinned post and recent posts, and looks for the moments that usually come right before a design project. Every lead comes with the reason, so you can check it. The posts here are made-up examples of the pattern.
Shipping v2 on the 30th. The landing page is… a work in progress.
A product going live, a launch date, a waitlist.
Excited to share we’ve closed our seed round. Hiring soon!
Fresh money usually means a real brand, a new site and a first design hire.
We’re looking for our first product designer. DMs open.
A full-time role is often a contract project first, while they search.
Honestly a bit embarrassed by our website at this point.
They’ve outgrown the logo they made in a weekend, and they’re saying so.
Can anyone recommend a brand designer who gets B2B SaaS?
Someone asking who to hire. Hunter also finds these posts beyond your followers.
Founder, fintech. Pre-seed. Building in public.
People like your best past clients: same industry, same stage, same problems.
Hunter searches X for you
People asking for a designer, found for you.
Hunter reads X for posts like “anyone know a good brand designer?”, skips the job boards and the spam, and adds the few worth a reply to your leads, even when they don’t follow you yet.
- Twice a week on Solo, every weekday on Pro
- Each find comes with the post that triggered it
Monty keeps track
Know who wrote back.
Turn on the morning check and Monty looks at your conversations from the last two days, tells you who answered and drafts what to say next. Follow-ups come when they’re due, and stop when it’s time to let go.
- Your follow-up plan: when, how many, and how they sound
- 2 credits a conversation, newest message only
Milo gets you ready
Walk into the call prepared.
When a conversation turns into a call, Milo writes a one-page brief from their profile, posts and website: who they are, what to aim for, and how to open.
- Ready in seconds, on Pro
- What they’ve said, what they need, what to offer
Built around how design actually gets bought.
A founder two weeks from launch needs you now. In three months they’ll have hired someone. Monty puts launches, raises and hires at the top.
The message only has to earn a profile click. Monty keeps it short and specific, with no pitch, so your work gets seen.
These people already follow you. On Pro, Sofie drafts a useful public reply to their posts first, so your name is familiar before you write.
Founders who just raised or are about to launch have a budget and a deadline. That’s a different talk than a marketplace bid.
Monty learns from the messages you edit and send. Nothing goes out that you didn’t write or approve.
Read the list, send the two or three that matter, get back to designing.

This is Monty running with example leads. Open one, change an opener, look at Talks. Nothing is saved or sent.

Fair questions.
Isn’t this just spam with extra steps?
No. Monty never sends anything. It reads people who chose to follow you and writes a draft. You decide who to message, and you send it yourself, one at a time, from your own account. That’s the opposite of mass DMs.
I don’t have many followers. Is it worth it?
Small audiences are often the best ones, because designers tend to be followed by founders, product people and other designers. Monty tells you who’s who, and Hunter also finds people outside your followers who are asking for a designer right now. Solo reads 500 followers a month, so a small audience gets read in full.
Will the messages sound like me?
You set your tone, length and a sample message in setup, and Monty learns from every message you edit. You can rewrite anything before you send it.
Can it get my X account in trouble?
Monty is read-only on X: it can’t post, like, follow or send messages. Everything you send, you send by hand, like any other message.
How is this different from Upwork or Dribbble?
Those put you in a queue next to hundreds of bids. Monty finds people who already follow you and are at a moment where design matters, so you’re starting a conversation, not answering a job post.
What does Monty read?
Only public things: their bio, pinned post and recent posts, plus their website for call briefs. Every reason says where it came from, so you can check it.
I run a studio. Does it scale?
Yes. Pro adds the whole crew. Creator reads 3,000 to 12,000 followers a month for bigger audiences.

Your next client might already follow you.
Say hey, and Monty reads your newest followers in a few minutes.
